Recently, reporters in China learned from the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company Limited that the North No.2 Tunnel at Kosh-Tobo on the Kyrgyzstan section of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway has been successfully breakthrough. It is the first completed tunnel on the Kyrgyzstan segment of the project, marking important progress in the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway and greatly facilitating trade and commercial exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan.

Known as the "Land of Mountains", Kyrgyzstan is located in the heart of Central Asia. It is landlocked and has long faced constraints in transportation. According to data from Kyrgyz Temir Joly (Kyrgyzstan National Railway Company), the country’s operational railway mileage is only 424.6 km, and freight transport relies heavily on highways. The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway is a landmark Belt and Road Initiative cooperation project advanced personally by the heads of state of China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Starting from Kashgar in Xinjiang, China, the railway crosses the Torugart Pass into Kyrgyzstan, runs westward through the Kyrgyz border city of Jalal-Abad, and terminates at Andijan in eastern Uzbekistan. The total length of the railway exceeds 500 km, of which the section within Kyrgyzstan stretches 304.84 km.

A recent editorial in Kyrgyzstan’s Speech Newspaper notes that this railway trunk line will connect China with Central Asia and open up new routes to West Asia, the Middle East and Europe. For Kyrgyzstan, its significance goes far beyond transportation. It is expected to help this mountainous country overcome natural limitations, build economic strengths and gradually transform its economic outlook. As railway construction picks up speed, markets for building material supply, equipment leasing and logistics services are becoming increasingly active. An engineering-driven industrial chain is taking root along the railway route. More profound changes are reflected in local people. The project adheres to local recruitment throughout construction. Local residents master practical skills on site, ranging from machinery operation to construction support work. They secure stable jobs near their homes and achieve steady improvements in living standards.

This year marks the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kyrgyzstan. Chinese-made construction machinery will continue to support the modernization of Kyrgyzstan’s infrastructure with reliable products and localized services. Truseen Machinery is based in Zhengzhou, China. The enterprise has a registered capital of 40 million RMB and an annual output capacity of 1,000 concrete batching plants.
